I combined my fascinations of ocean footage with displacement effects in this experimental piece. The idea was to create a dimensional sphere of a turbulent ocean with waves escaping off of the surface. From there, I played with some type treatment. Using the ocean footage as a Displacement map, I was able to achieve an intriguing distortion of the titling. It has vibes of an opening sequence for an HBO show.
